The 10 points of a new approach to our country’s position on the ever -changing geopolitical scene will be described by public intervention by the Alexis Tsipras. The goal of this new strategy, as he will say, is a strong and autonomous Greece that claims the role it matters to Europe and the Eastern Mediterranean as pillar of peace and stabilityand not as a willing and subordinate follower of third party decisions.

The former prime minister will stress that Greece is at a dangerous crossroads under the responsibility of today’s majority. It is expected to emphasize that in the last five and a half years, the New Democracy government has exposed the country multiple and to financialbut also to geopolitical dangers. It did not take advantage of the stabilization of the economy after leaving the memorandums for the necessary reforms and the change of productive model, and let the great opportunity of the Development Fund go missed. But the main one, as he will not, is that he handled catastrophically Ukrainian.

Alexis Tsipras will argue that changing strategy is necessary and that the present government cannot obviously not succeed. In the same intervention the former prime minister is expected to underline the need for radical shift to European strategy. A Europe that instead, even now, to lead the effort to cease fire on the Ukrainian front and find an immediate diplomatic solution, the leader is the US president.
