The Spanish Ambassador was summoned to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to give explanations, on the sidelines of the military agreement and the sale of Spanish weapons to Turkey.
The request was made by the Secretary General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Demiris.
The necessary recommendations were made to the Spanish side, while a while ago the Greek Foreign Minister Nikos Dendias had talks with his Spanish counterpart.
There was a discussion between the two men in September, however today Mr. Dendias pointed out to the Spanish Foreign Minister that the French Foreign Minister visited our country with whom discussions were held on the military autonomy of Europe as well as many issues concerning its security at the time. that Spain is going to Turkey to strengthen defense cooperation with it.
According to the Foreign Ministry, “following the Spanish Prime Minister’s visit to Ankara and what was announced, Foreign Minister Nikos Dendias had a telephone conversation with his Spanish counterpart JMAlbares.”
“During the conversation, the Greek Foreign Minister referred to the issues of Greek interest that arose. The Spanish Foreign Minister gave clarifications and suggested his immediate visit to Athens, to fully clarify the relevant issues. “His proposal was accepted,” the foreign ministry said.
