One of the biggest idols of Argentine football and famous around the world, Diego Maradona is now stamped on an aircraft. Named “Tango D10S”, the plane that honors the ace and will fly to the World Cup in Qatar was presented to the public.

The aircraft chosen for the honor was the Bombardier CL-600-2B16 Challenger 601 registered under the registration LV-JVB, which in addition to flying to the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, will also function as a traveling museum touring the world.

According to the “Buenos Aires Times”, the presentation of the private jet took place last Wednesday (25), at Morón Airport, in Buenos Aires, and was attended by former players from Maradona’s team – winner of the World Cup—such as Sergio “Checho” Batista, who also coached the Argentine national team, and Ricardo Bochini.

The event was hosted by former Argentina national team defender Juan Pablo Sorín. The project is an initiative of the Give&Get business group and its executive director, Gastón Kolker, and the intervention is by the plastic artist Maximiliano Bagnasco.

The aircraft was hand-painted and received in its fuselage the image of Maradona kissing the World Cup cup that Argentina won in 1986, in Mexico.

In addition to the predominant white and blue colors on the fuselage, the tail of the “Tango D10S” received, on one side, the image of Maradona’s face when singing the Argentine national anthem, and on the other, the image alluding to the iconic goal of the “hand of God” against England.
