Anthony Joshua claims that the undisputed conflict with Tyson Fury is the biggest incentive for a rematch with Alexander Whiskey.

Joshua and Usyk met at a news conference in Saudi Arabia on Tuesday ahead of the IBF, WBO and WBA heavyweight title matches on August 20.

The undefeated Ukrainians held a boxing masterclass at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium last September, ousting Joshua from the throne and suffering a second loss in his professional career.

The only other time Great Britain suffered a loss was to Andy Ruiz Jr. in 2019 – he avenged the loss and traveled to Saudi Arabia to reclaim his title that same year.

Joshua has to do the same against Yusik in Jeddah this summer: they both laid the foundation for a second battle on stage with a strong look, the look of both I don’t want to break it.

After answering questions from the press attended by the fighters, the topic of Fury inevitably came up. The WBC champions claimed to have given up boxing after a knockout win at White Morning in April.

Many hope that after Lennox Lewis, the battle to win boxing’s first undisputed heavyweight champion will be enough to remove Joshua and Usaki from “Gipsy Kings.”

And Joshua reopened the door to battle. When asked if the opportunity to fight Fury is the biggest incentive for all the belts in the rematch with Usyk, he said: უნდა it should be. If I sit here and tell you otherwise, I deceive you, myself and the world.

For the fans, it’s a fight you have to win, the guy retired, but who knows? Retirement does not mean you are not eligible for a refund.

“If I get the chance, I’ll see if he comes back. But let’s win this fight, which opens another door.
