Sgouropoulos is in France for a tough competition in November with Enebon

After the World Table Tennis Contender of Slovenia, in Nova Gorica and a few days’ stay in Athens, Yannis Sgouropoulos went to France again for Enebon and this time to follow a heavy competition schedule.

The 4-time European singles champion in the youth and young men’s age categories (2017, 2018, 2019, 2021) is in the country from Sunday 06/11 and will stay for a long time, as he will strengthen his new club in a series from important matches in the French league and the Champions League.

It starts tomorrow, Tuesday 08/11 with a match for the professional league (the so-called Pro A) and within 20 days a total of 8 matches are scheduled for Enebon in France and in the top European Club Cup! In the Champions League, the premiere at stadium 2 is next Sunday, while next week Panagiotis Gionis’ Bogoria Grodzisk will begin its European matches in the same competition.

In this year’s Pro A, the former French champion has played just one race so far. In September, away to Rouen, he had won 3-2, while Sgouropoulos had made his debut with a difficult defeat against Liao Chen Ting. The league schedule underwent many changes due to the World Team Championship, which took place in China, and it took more than a month for Enebon to return to action.

Tomorrow Tuesday 08/11 at home against Caen is for the 4th matchday of the league and will be successively followed by meetings for Pro A and the Champions League. Enebon naturally also wants to star in France and progress to at least the 8th of the top European competition, where they are 2nd favorite in group B of stage 2. Between the games, the great Greek athlete will train in the new and excellent training center of his team.

Enebon’s European match for the final matchday of Group B is scheduled for December 18 and will be at home to Wales.
