Yunus Ocal era in the AEK women’s volleyball team

New coach of her women’s volleyball team AEK is now the Yunus Ocal. The Turkish coach, who was a member of the technical team of Marcelo Abdonza in the Women’s National Team, replaces Costas Arseniadis who left the “Union” after a long collaboration with the club.

“AEK is pleased to announce the start of cooperation with Yunus Ocal for the position of coach of our club’s women’s volleyball team.

Mr. Ocal has extensive experience in the field of volleyball, having worked for 12 consecutive years (2006-2018) at the Turkish Eczac?bas? VitrA, as an assistant coach, while from 2018 until this year he was at Turk Hava Yollar; SK, serving the same post. He was also a direct partner of Marcelo Abbondanza in the Greek Women’s National Team!

It is of particular importance to point out the titles of Mr. Ocal. Winning the Champions League (2014/15), Club World Championship bis (2015/16-2016/17) and CEV Cup (2017/18). He was also a three-time Turkish champion (2006/07, 2007/08, 2011/12) and a three-time Turkish Cup winner (2008/09, 2010/11, 2011/12). Finally, he also won 2 Turkish Super Cups (2011/12, 2012/13) and 2 BVA Cups (2018/19, 2019/20).
