#Hashtag: Viral video turns ‘Evidências’ into the national team’s anthem at the World Cup

by

“But why live pretending if I can’t deceive my heart?” Chitãozinho & Xororó’s verse, already classic at all parties and karaokes in the country, has now also been made official as Brazil’s anthem at the 2022 World Cup. At least on social media…

A video that has been circulating frequently on the internet made a montage with old images of players singing the National Anthem with the audio of country music.

The fit was so precise that it inspired the following comment by systems analyst Pedro Ornelas in the post: “At this time, PT and Bolsonar supporters embrace, forgetting their differences!”

The joke resulted in a post on the official profiles of Xororó, 65, and son-in-law Lucas Lima, 40. In a collaboration on Instagram, they published a video with the green and yellow shirt of the Brazilian national team, hand on the chest and “Evidências” on the gogo. Watch below.
