H Euroleague is approaching the end of the first round, as the 16th matchday comes, in which of course the derby of the ages on Friday (30/12, 21:00) stands out. Before the derby, however, there are other very interesting matches on the schedule for Thursday (28/12) to whet our appetite for the match OAKA.

Matchday 16 opens with a very big Spanish civil war. The big surprise of the year, Baskoniaaccepts the always computable Real Madrid, in a match where they are expected to… “break hearts” (20:00, NovaSports 3)! The two teams are tied at the top with the same record (10-5), so the stakes are huge.

Baskonia and Real they have already met once in the ACB, where the Basques won at home with a score of 88-82. The match is expected to be high-scoring as two of the top three attacks in the EuroLeague will face each other on the floor, so the match is sure to be a great spectacle for the… neutrals!

The big derbies don’t stop there, as the next matchup is in between Maccabi Tel Aviv and Anatolou Efes, in Israel (21:05, NovaSports 5)! Neither team has… impressed so far with their performance, however both are tied at 8-7 and every match between them is… an eye-opener, since we are talking about two former European champions with “stars” » roster. The duel between Vasily Misic and Lorenzo Brown shocking expected.

At 21:30 (NovaSports Start), the They were partisans will welcome her Bayern Munich. Both are currently low in the standings, but Zeljko Obradovic’s side in particular have shown signs of recovery with back-to-back wins against Efes and Fenerbahçe, so they need a win at home to climb even further.

At the same time (21:30, NovaSports Prime), the Armani Milan hosts the Valencia, in yet another very unpredictable match. The Italians are the biggest disappointment of the season so far, as they are in the last places of the standings (5-10) while the goal was the Final Four, however, they have been revived in the last two matches and count a series of victories with Red in Serbia and Monaco in Italy. The Spaniards, on the other hand, have had a remarkable run so far, they are at 7-8 and are always a team to be reckoned with, playing their basketball and… wherever they go!

The last match of the day, is the one between Monaco and Zalgiris in Monte Carlo (22:00, NovaSports 4). The Monegasques are also tied at the top with a record of 10-5, and they want to make a reaction after the painful defeat in Milan. Against them, they will find the very dangerous team of Maksvitis, which comes from two big victories against Bayern and Real and will claim to the end the “double” in France, to reach the top eight!
