“The search for facilities, in order to house the needs of Olympic taekwondo, the dreams of the many hundreds of athletes-athletes both of the National teams and of the ranks in Southern and Northern Greece, as well as the competitive obligations of an entire sport, which here and some years he is in a constant search of closed gyms for the implementation of his games, he is heading towards a definitive solution.

The administration of the Hellenic Taekwondo Federation, with coordinated actions, is proceeding with collaborations, in order to provide a solution to an important problem of Greek sports and especially of Olympic Taekwondo, which, among the dynamic sports, has the first place both at the level of athletes, as well as at union level.

Already, in Northern Greece, a special space has been created to accommodate the training needs of athletes of the ETABE levels, while the negotiations for a corresponding sports-training center in Southern Greece are also in the final stage.

At the same time, the management of ELOT has proceeded with the necessary actions for the creation of a sports center in Central Greece, which will be dedicated to our Olympians, as, after all, was the vision of our late Olympian, Alexandros Nikolaidis, who left to us so early.

The implementation of all of the above is a priority for the ELOT administration, which sees the needs of the sport growing more and more day by day, which obliges it to be in constant consultation with both the local government and the competent bodies to be able to provide a solution to such a serious issue.

Our priority was and remains the athletes and that is where we focus. Because, the role that Olympic Taekwondo is called to play is its uninterrupted presence in the top positions of major sporting events around the world.”
