For the second time in the current season, Sasha Vezenkov emerged MVP of the month in the Euroleague, with the Bulgarian forward leading the way Olympic in February with 18.5 points, 7.4 rebounds and 23.5 in the ranking on average!

Speaking on the official website of the Euroleague, he referred to the excellent month that the “red and whites” had, speaking of 13 battle-ready players, while also standing at the team leader, Kostas Papanikolaouemphasizing among other things that he deserved the MVP award!

Sasha Vezenkov’s statements in detail:

“We played very important games in February against very good opponents. We managed to go 4 out of 4 and stay high in the rankings, which is very important for our confidence and our chemistry. It is very important entering the final stretch.

We have 13 players ready to come in and play, fill their role. Everyone is ready to come forward in case someone is injured. We are not a one player team, but we try to cover each other. The way the team is built, each of us plays for the other. We like to move the ball around, play as a team. This is very important.

The prize could easily have been won by Papanikolaou, he plays amazingly, not only in February, but in the last months. He is our leader. He tries to keep us together, talks to us when things aren’t going well. It’s a cliché, but we’re only looking at the next game. That’s what we’ve been doing since the beginning of the year.”
