Nikolaou: “Leave AEK and its players alone – The field is still at 10%”

The EEC radio was hosted by George Nikolaou expressing his annoyance at the transfer scenarios involving its players AEK. The communication director of KAE clarified that Mr Dimitris Flionis has a buy out, while he mentioned this year’s course of the team, the hug from the world and emphasized that the stadium of Liosia is constantly improving. About AEK’s philosophy: “The general philosophy from the past period is to go step by step, that is, from the day the administration decided to prioritize self-sanitization, the utilization of the stadium, which is the big goal and there is a lot of work on it and then the competition, which always remains a goal. How high the “bar” goes for the goal fluctuates based on our course and the current data, but not, however, in the sense that we underestimate or downgrade our competitive course.”

For the injury losses that plague AEK: “Basketball is not football to have 40 players, it’s a completely different sport. Any loss to any team is 10 times more serious than a loss in football. However, we have not invoked this, neither the management, nor the coach, whether we win or lose. There is no such thing as an absence for us. We obviously know what Strelnieks and Williams mean, but AEK is AEK and must continue, regardless of any problems that arise. We are moving forward, we have won Panathinaikos, but the road is still open both at the competitive and non-competitive levels. All I have to say is that they leave AEK and the players alone.”

On the apotheosis of the team after the defeat by Malaga: “It is very pleasant for the team from Malaga to lose the 1st place and to be deified by their fans, it is not so common in Greek stadiums. I believe that this feeling that the people of AEK have works there. He understands both what goes on here, but also what it really means to be a fan.”

For the AEK stadium: “The stadium was one way and the other way it was done and we are still at 10% of the process. Completion will take too long and it will be a surprise completion next time.
