Tsoutsikas: “The KED’s position is a monument of irresponsibility”

Questions and suspicions are raised by KED announcementinstead of clarifying the landscape, regarding the replacement of Polish referees by Greeks in AEK-Arisas commented by Vaios Tsoutsikas in his air News Bulletin 247. As he said, there is talk of reports and he does not seem to have an accurate picture of what has happened.

“There is a big gap in the content of the announcement about the event. She talks about a joint request of PAE AEK and Aris after reports, as if separating her position and telling us that she has no opinion on what has happened. It doesn’t say that ‘we found out this happened and after the teams requested it we proceeded with the substitution’. So KED does not have an exact picture of what has happened. When we are talking about such a serious decision, however, you should have your own image and not rely on reports. The EPO’s obligation was to ask the police, talk to the referee’s side, the Polish federation and have a clear picture of what really happened. On the other hand, KED does not answer us why it proceeded with a replacement, which is the most pressing question. For me, this announcement is a monument of irresponsibility and the way KED behaves is suspicious and leaves gaps“, he emphasized.
