Olympiacos blocked PAOK!

In a derby for only two sets, Olympiakos prevailed over PAOK 3-1 for the 15th game of the Volley League.

The red and whites “avenged” the biceps of the north for the defeat in the first round and remained in second place, four points behind the champion Panathinaikos, who has given one match less.

The two teams gave it their all in the first two sets, with PAOK, however, running out of strength afterwards and the red and whites being sweeping.

In the first set, Olympiacos maintained a constant difference of 2-3 points, with PAOK equalizing at 19-19 and 20-20. The red and whites escaped again at +3 and finished the set with two blocks (25-20).

The picture was reversed in the second set, with PAOK holding the lead, which reached +5 (13-18). Olympiakos reduced to two with a series of three points (16-18) and reached the point (18-19). The thriller continued until the end, with PAOK maintaining control and Olympiakos pushing for the overthrow. The two teams counted from two lost sets of bowls, with the “biceps of the North” being the one who cleared, finally, for the 1-1 set (27-29).

From there on, Olympiacos was sweeping. In the third set it reached +5 (15-10) and opened even more the difference with 20-12. PAOK did not manage to collect it, with the red and whites making it 2-1 with 25-17.

The team of Piraeus continued in the same way, maintaining the lead until the final and finished the game with 25-17.
