Bandis: “Super League 2 players are eating from sticks – The State should take responsibility”

by

New… bombs were launched by the president of PSAPP, Giorgos Bandis, after the shocking post that an Aris player attempted suicide, as the State owed him money.

Speaking to Libero FM, he asked the State to assume its responsibilities, since there are players from Super League 2, who eat from piles.

In detail what he said:

“Now nobody has an excuse to say they didn’t know. The State must assume the responsibility it has towards the footballers! There is a great risk of having similar situations and we are talking about money that was and is accrued, is regulated by law and has not yet been paid to them.

After the revelation I made yesterday, there has been a lot of interest. It was done to catch up, because next time the attempt may be successful! There are 45 families of football players, formerly of Aris and PAS Ioannina, with the well-known case with Article 44, which the State then “forced” them to accept.

Unfortunately only two installments were paid and never since. There are 2.5 million euros left that have not been paid! Unfortunately there are children who have lost homes to bank auctions.

Mars is not responsible, the child was just playing with Mars at the time. The State is responsible. We know that the players were pressured and accepted the regulation, since the State became a guarantor, with a law that today we are talking about, is in force normally!.

We had a meeting two months ago with Mr. Avgenakis and he told us that he will look at the matter again, that we are right that the Law is in force, but so far there is no response!

The attempt was made some time ago, the problem was treated by doctors, luckily the attempt failed and now he is well and being monitored. Everyone should know what the current situation is for 45 families.”
