Inter-Milan: Prehistory says “Nerazzurri”, but Origi… disagrees!

by

A place in his final Champions League they will claim Inter and Milan (16/5, 22:00), in a pair that now has a clear favourite.

THE Inter she made a “double” in the first semi-final with 2-0, now having in her hands the qualification to her first final since 2010, when she won the cup with the “big ears”.

In fact, the Nerazzurri are close to a terrible performance, which has not happened since the 1973-74 season. Specifically, if Inter win, it will be the first time since they manage to get four winning results in the same season against their great rival.

Regarding the Milan, the “omen” for her is not positive. The “Rossoneri” count three consecutive defeats against Inter in all competitions, without finding the net in any of them! In addition, history does not let them feel too optimistic about qualifying for the final.

In particular, only once has it managed to qualify from the semi-finals, a team that lost the first match by at least two goals! This actually happened for the first time very recently, in the 2018-19 season, when the Liverpool bounced back from a 3-0 defeat against Barcelona and destroyed the “Blaugrana” 4-0 at “hot” Anfield.

If her friends anyway Milan dig a little deeper, they might even find a positive “omen” regarding the confrontation with her Inter. And that’s because the “Rossoneri” roster includes the player who was the star in this great turnaround of Klopp’s team!

In detail, the unexpected protagonist of that great result was Divock Origi. The Belgian striker had started as a starter due to his absence Mohamed Salah and it was he who opened the scoring in just the 7th minute but, most importantly, he who shaped the final result after his brilliant corner kick Alexander-Arnold!

Therefore, his team Stefano Pioli has on its roster a player who has experienced an even more shocking turnaround than the one Milan is now called upon to do. Whether that means anything remains to be seen…
