The PAOK handball team made another transfer move ahead of the new season. The “Two-Headed of the North” announced today (15/6) the acquisition of Giannis Batzios, who will strengthen the “black and white” in the pivot position in the upcoming season. The 24-year-old ace is the fourth transfer acquisition of Thessaloniki ahead of the new season, as PAOK has also included Danil Botskariov, Lefteris Papazoglou and Dimitris Papageorgiou, while Tasos Tsamouridis and Chrysanthos Tsanaxidis have renewed their cooperation with the team.

“PAOK, and the men’s handball department, announce the start of cooperation with the athlete, Giannis Bazio, for the 2023-2024 season.
Born on 22/04/1999, Giannis Batzios plays as a pivot and is 192cm tall.
He took his first steps in handball at HANTH, where he remained until 2017.
Then followed a six-year stint at AESH Pylaias, with which he got important performances from the Handball Premier, while he was a member of the team that won the Greek Cup in the 2021-22 season.
Regarding the start of cooperation with PAOK, Yiannis Batzios stated on the Association’s official website, acpaok.gr:
