Very likely to see new regulations in NBA!
According to Shams Saraniathe league’s Board of Governors is expected to meet on July 11thto approve two new regulations, which will apply from the 2023-24 season (if indeed approved).
One of them is already valid in Europe. Specifically, the flopping it will be considered a technical penalty and will drive in one shot for the opposing team. Until now, the “theater” does not attract a one-shot penalty in the top league of the planet, but can be fined after the match.
The second regulation concerns the challenge, i.e. the ability of a coach to challenge a decision of the referees and force them to watch the instant replay. As it stands, each bench can only resort to it once during a match. However, the league will meet to add one more challengewhich will only fire if the first one was successful.
