FIFA has banned transfers to Al Nasr following a dispute the Saudis had with Leicester, according to the “Daily Mirror”. The Saudi Arabian club’s failure to pay the balance of the deal with the English, for the striker Ahmed Musa, looks set to cost them dearly, as it puts the brakes on new signings.
The governing body has now banned Cristiano Ronaldo’s side from making any new signings after the club failed to repay the full amount of the deal to Leicester for striker Ahmed Musa.
Musa played 60 games for Al Nasr and won the league before being released two years later. FIFA claims the Saudi side have failed to pay 460,000 euros plus interest to Leicester for the striker, in breach of the agreement.
The decision was originally released in October 2021, with Al Nasr having been warned that they will face a transfer ban if they fail to pay Leicester the amount owed.
FIFA has now imposed a transfer ban on Al Nasr as the repayment of the debt was delayed and ultimately never completed
The ban applies to both domestic and international transfers, meaning that ‘big name’ players cannot and will not currently come in from abroad.
