This effort has a clear goal, to break away from the widely publicized news and to give a “step” of presentation in different stories, unknown to the general public, which will pique the interest and highlight many different aspects of basketball.
The region will always be in the spotlight of this publication and collaborating journalists from every corner of the country will carry the pulse. Because efforts like those of Xanthos Patmos, described in the first issue, as well as the harmonious coexistence of Christian and Muslim basketball courts in Thrace through the interesting subject of Vassilis Stoakis, must be highlighted. There are countless such all over Greece and they deserve to be known.
As there are important actions that bring basketball closer to society, such as that of the Sovereign Kokkinias that unites children of immigrants with children of orphanages in a truly special coexistence of joy.
The mothers who did not leave the floor at the upper level are presented by Sofia Valsami and Stavros Koukakis tells us the special story of the Greek woman who won a ring in the WNBA and few people know it.
Three brothers teammates is not a common phenomenon, however, Makis Douvalis discovered them in Rhodes and presents them, while Costas Georgiadis gives documents about the basketball “launch” that is being attempted in Ioannina.
The beginning of this magazine hosts other… principles. The creation of an efficient development program for Greek basketball analyzed by Costas Tsartsaris, but also the presence of the sport in the country, to which Nikos Bourlakis looks back with important historical documents.
Of course, we could not miss a last “goodbye” to our beloved Vasso Beskaki who left us so early, written by Niki Bakouli.
These, among other things, will have the opportunity to “browse” the readers, fans and not only since the subject matter escapes and will always depart from the four lines of the parquet and what is played there.
The ambition is for this monthly appointment to cause impatience and to remind in practice, that basketball is much more than the action and the result.
