Apollon Patrons announced the acquisition of Christos Saloustros, who signed a two-year contract.
The 33-year-old forward played for PAOK last season, while Achaia is no stranger to the experienced ace, as he played for Prometheus of Patras between 2017-19.

WHO IS WHO
Christos Saloustros was born on March 29, 1990 in Heraklion and began his professional career at Filathlitikos. He played with Zografou’s team for the three years 2010-2013.
In the 2013-2014 season he competed for the first time in the Basket League wearing the jersey of Panioni. A year later, he was transferred to PAOK and then to Kolossos.
He stayed in Rhodes for two years (2015-2017) until he moved to Patras on behalf of Prometheus. In his two-year stay in the Achaean capital, he managed to play both in the Basketball Champions League (2018-2019) and in the finals of the Basket League of the same year.
From 2019 to 2022 he competed successfully in Peristeri, while last year he was a key member of PAOK with whom he participated in the semi-finals of the Basket League play-offs. In 26 league games in more than 20 minutes of participation, he averaged 5.4 points, 5.2 rebounds, 1.3 assists and 8.6 rating with 29/51 two-pointers with 56.9%, 22/62 three-pointers with 35.5% and 16/24 shots with 66.7%.
Correspondingly in the Basketball Champions League in 9 games he averaged 3.4 points, with 4.7 rebounds in almost 22 minutes with 6/11 two-pointers with 54.5%, 5/21 three-pointers with 23.8% and 4/6 shots with 66.7%.
In 2018, he was named the most improved player of the Basket League championship, while he also competed in the National Men’s team.
He has worn the blue and white jersey a total of 13 times and on 2/22/2021 in the match against Latvia and Greece’s overtime victory (97-94), he had his best performance, scoring 17 points.
