“It was a good game I think. We could have kept the ball a bit more, created more phases, but I don’t think they were much better than us. Sure, they were effective. I was happy for our kids who were able to win a difficult match even though we didn’t win it.”



Although you played for the first time, how did you see the level of Super League 2 and Panathinaikos B?

“The level is good, as I saw today. OK, maybe it stops the game a lot more or the ball goes in the air more than the first division. I liked what I saw and I think the guys showed the quality they have, although they can improve. As far as the team we played today has experienced players who have played in big teams”.

On a personal level, you got playing time playing as a starter for 57′, what can we expect from you from now on?

“From the moment the match with Atromitos ended, I left it behind me. It’s been a long time since I played and I missed it. It is my great pleasure to come here and play with them. I have to take my time and find a rhythm. It was good for me and I competed and I hope everyone in the team is as happy as me and that I helped.”

The first team we saw in the derby with Olympiakos is in very good condition. There is an important game coming up for Panathinaikos and the continuation in Europe, with Rennes, how is the atmosphere after what happened?

“Okay, a lot happened with Juancar who won’t play, but the rest of us are fine. We have our minds on the Rennes game where we want to get a good result and stay top of the group. We know that things are always very difficult in Europe, but we are playing at home and we are focused on this goal.”

Unlike Panathinaikos, Rennes does not have the same good results in the French league, it remains of course a particularly high-quality team that has shown its potential in the Europa League. Where do you think the match will be decided?

“I expect a game that will not have many phases. We have to finish in the opportunities we will have, not let them do it. To show concentration in the coach’s plan, to pressure them and when we have the ball to play the football we know and have shown. In Europe, the team that makes the fewest mistakes wins the game.”

The fact that this is a crucial match, as we said before, with a win Panathinaikos takes a big step to continue in Europe in the winter, does it put extra pressure on you or is it something you expected?

“No, it doesn’t put any extra pressure on us. This thing brings us joy. Because it proves that we are doing a good job and we are on the right track. I know and you all know that there is always pressure on Panathinaikos, but there will also be pressure on Rennes who will play in our stadium.”
