Dumitrescu is Panathinaikos’ ambassador in Romania

The ambassador of Panathinaikos in Romania will be Ruxi Dumitrescu. The “greens” announced their partnership with the former international winger, who competed with the “clover” for seven years and won as many championships.

“The Panathinaikos Athletic Club announces its collaboration with Ruxi Dumitrescu as the club’s ‘ambassador’ in Romania.

The club starts contacts with athletes who have glorified the ‘clover’ and will represent it in the countries they come from in order to raise the club’s flag even higher around the world.

Ruxi Dumitrescu has written her own history with green colors and honored the green jersey from 2003 to 2010.

In total, he won 7 A1 championships (1999, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010), 8 Greek Cups (1999, 2000, 2003, 2005, 2006, 2008, 2009, 2010), while he was twice awarded MVP in Cup finals lu (2005, 2008).

At European level, he won second place in the Challenge Cup (2009) and third place in the Cup Winners’ Cup.

In a statement on www.pao1908.com, Dumitrescu said: “Panathinaikos is for me a huge part of my life and it is certainly a great joy for me to serve the club again from this position. The fact that many important athletes from Romania have passed through Panathinaikos and I was chosen to represent it in the country where I was born and raised makes me doubly happy.

My goal is to bring Romania and Panathinaikos as close as I can in various ways and actions, such as the recent academies tournament that Panathinaikos came to.”
