Armani swept away Valencia and is preparing for a “civil war” with Virtus

by

Armani Milano produced quality and swept the unrecognizable Valencia! Ettore Messina’s team achieved its second Euroleague victory of the year, winning 83-52 for the 7th Euroleague matchday and goes with the best mentality to the “civil war” with Virtus for the second devil week of the season!

Leading performance from Nikola Mirotic, who finished with 19 points with 7 rebounds and 23 points in the rating system. Lo and Voigtman were excellent with 10 and 9 points respectively. For Valencia, Harper stood out with 10 points and Davis with 9 points.

The match

From the start of the match the hosts took control by making a quick 6-0, while they managed with an excellent percentage of the two points to escape the score with Feigdman and Poythres having answers to the tough Spanish defense and closed the first period with + 11 (23-12).

The picture was similar in the second quarter, with Messina choosing a short formation and Valencia having no answers to Armani’s very fast game. Although the percentage of the Milan team decreased to 37.5%, the equivalent of the three-pointer shot up as Law and Voigtman had 2/4 with Mirotic making 4/7, expanding the score to +19 (35-16). The half ended with Armano leading with an impressive 44-31.

The picture didn’t change in the second half either with the home team escaping early by taking advantage of Valencia’s miscue to reach +25 (58-33) midway through the 3rd period. Hines dominated the racket as Lo was unbeaten behind 6.75 for 64-39.

The procedural nature, fourth quarter, gave Messina the right to make further rotation, an event which did not change the facts of the match. Mirotic continued his own crescendo with Voigtman complementing him and the match ended at 83-52.

The quarters: 23-12, 44-31, 64-39, 83-52
