The “heart” of Greek basketball beats this weekend at Carditsa and at the Closed “Yiannis Bourousis” with its conduct 26th All Star Game!
The big annual celebration of basketball started on Saturday morning (16/12) with the holding of a 3on3 “ALLSTARAKIA” tournament at the auxiliary court, while at noon, the president of the Board of Directors of ESAKE, Evangelos Galatsopoulos, the chairman of the Board of Directors of PSAKK, Andreas Glyniadakisthe General Director of the Association of Basketball Players and Women Basketball Players, Kostas Alexandridis and the basketball player of KAE Karditsa JAPONIKI, Vassilis Christidiswere at the City Hall of the city, where they met with people hosted at Theodorideo Center Horizons of the Municipality of Karditsa, which is a Support and Counseling Center for people with special needs.
The basketball family distributed gifts and joy to the people staying at Theodorideo, while for his part the president of the institution George Mattas, honored ESAKE, PSAKK and AS Karditsas for the visit.
In the context of the visit, Mr. Galatsopoulos stated: “It is a great pleasure that together with PSAKK and its president Andreas Glyniadakis, we are organizing the All Star Game in Karditsa. We want to see families and children fill the stadium and watch players who excel in Greece and Europe. We thank the president of the foundation and the children, it is a great pleasure to be here and I congratulate the people of the foundation for this project. Our joy is greater when we know that we give joy”while in turn the president of the Theodoride Foundation George Mattas:
“We welcome the 26th All Star Game, an institution that is coming to Karditsa for the first time. I want to thank ESAKE and PSAKK, who chose Karditsa for this festive 2-day event. The Municipality helps and supports it to be successful and I also want to thank the athletes, the coaches, the agents and the region and wish everyone happy holidays”.
In the afternoon, the action moved to “Yiannis Bourousis”, with wheelchair all star race, in the half of which there was also the three-point competition with Reader Chile to emerge victorious! His team won Aemonaprevailing with the final 30-26 of Jason.
