The biography of Dimitris Spanos
Dimitris Spanos was born on July 13, 1969, in Aigio. As a football player, he played in the 1st national team in Ionikos, in the 2nd national team in Atromito and Paneiyalio and in the 3rd national team in Byzantium Megaron and Anagennisi Artas.
His coaching career began in 2005, when he took over the technical leadership of Anagennisi Arta and from then on he began a long and successful career. He worked in: Agia Salamina, Rhodes, Panachaiki, Panegialeio, Aeolian Mytilini, Ermionida Union, Lamia, Apollon Smyrna, Panegialeio, Ari and Corfu. With Aris, he even celebrated the promotion to the Super League, as he was the coach who led the Thessalonians to the big salons.
The experienced technician took charge of Ionikos in the summer of 2020, celebrating promotion to the first division. In fact, his first season in the Super League was highly successful, with the team finishing in 7th place making a record collection of points in the play outs. He left in January 2023 as a friend and returns to bring the team back to where it belongs!
