More details about the new Champions League, announced by UEFA!
The premier intercollegiate event changes form from the following season, and the European football federation proceeded with clarifications concerning both the draw of the main phase and that of the knockouts, up to and including the grand final.
As for the first round, in which they will participate 36 groups and each of them will play 8 games against 2 teams from each capacity group (teams from the same country cannot meet), the draw will take place via computerwho will take out the opponents of each team.
As is already known, the teams that will finish the first phase in the first 8 places of the standings will advance to the “16” phase, while the remaining 16 will have to go through the playoffs first.
In addition, as it became known, the knockout draw it will remind… of tennis, with the teams that will finish in the first two places not being able to meet, except in the grand final, while the same will also apply in both Europa and Conference League.
Finally, the UEFA made it clear that it does not intend to organize any final outside of Europe, nor to invite any team from another continent.
