The Warriors beat LA and beat the Lakers

The Warriors they put the Lakers below them, in tenth place in the West, with a 128-121 win in LA. Steph Curry celebrated his 36th birthday by returning with 31 points after a three-game absence, with Klay Thompson adding another 26 off the bench on 5-of-10 3-point range. LeBron James struggled almost single-handedly with 40 points, 9 assists and 8 rebounds as Anthony Davis suffered an eye injury in the first period.

The Thunder moved atop the West, tied with the Nuggets (47-20), as they edged Memphis 118-112 with Jaylen Williams’ 23 points, Chet Holmgren adding 22 and 11 rebounds and Cy Giljus-Alexander following with 20 points.

Marginally third parties are Timberwolves, who had no trouble in Utah, 100-119, despite the absences of Towns and Gober. Anthony Edwards led the way with 31 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists, with Mike Conley and Naz Reed adding 25 and 22 points, respectively.

In seventh place in the West, below the Suns, the Kings after the 98-91 home loss to the Knicks. Jaylen Brunson had 42 points for the New Yorkers, with Domantas Sabonis leading the way with 21 points and 14 rebounds for the Kings.

The Sixers They beat the Hornets 109-98 with 30 points from Tyrese Maxey, but remained seventh in the East after the Pacers’ 121-100 victory over the Nets led by Pascal Siakam who had 28 points and 11 rebounds.

The Pelicans they “cleaned” the Blazers 126-107 with 30 points from C.J. McCollum and another 26 from Zion Williamson.

The Bulls beat the Wizards 127-98 with Agios Dosunmu scoring a career-high 34 points and remain ninth in the East.
