Double distinction for the Greek colors in ILCA 4 Youth European Sailing Championship in Izola, Slovenia. Where Greece won two more silver medals, with Vasilis Koukoudis and the Maria Christina Melaniti.
There were 9 races for the boys and 3 Greeks finished in the top 10, while in the golden fleet of 61 boats 11 were Greek! A total of 243 boats competed.
Vassilis Koukoudis climbed to the second step of the podium, collecting 60 points. His positions were 9, 16, 2, 7, 6, 6, 24 (he removed her as the worst), 11 and 3.
He also had a very good fight George Kypreos, who finished 4th with 68 points. His positions were 16, 3, 4, 5, 5, 56 (he removed her as the worst), 1, 15, 19.
Konstantinos Portosalte finished 6th with 72 points. His placements were 5, 2, 9, 15, 19, 49 (he removed her as the worst) 16, 6 and 8.
Among the girls, after 10 races, Maria Christina Melaniti managed to take 2nd place with 63 points out of a total of 164 boats. She had a great performance and her positions were 4, 3, 13, 4, 13, 10, 1, 16 (removed her as the worst), 14 and 1.
