Aris: “Our position is clear for a final with people – EPO and the State should take action, there is time”

A statement through which it reminds that its clear position is to hold the final of the Betsson Cup in the presence of people, issued the PAE Aris.

After stressing that there is no official information, he calls on EPO and the State to take action, pointing out that there is time to make the necessary actions to make up for lost ground.

There are 17 days left until the Greek Cup final. We know the venue and starting time of the final: Panthessaliko Stadium (as stated in the announcement) and center at 20:30.

What remains to be known, officially, is whether the final will be played in the presence of fans or… in front of empty seats. Unofficially, of course, we read and hear statements from style officials… “we’re probably going to a final without spectators”. Officially there is still no information from anyone.

PAE ARIS has made its position clear from the beginning: We want a final with fans of both teams because that is what -among other things- also dictates the purpose of the final: To be a celebration.

PAE ARIS does not want a final in empty stands and that is why it was – and is – willing to contribute, so that the Panthessal Stadium will be ready by the 25th of the month, meeting the necessary specifications.

We note, with regret, that probably not all parties involved have the same desire. We don’t know why and we leave it to the judgment of public opinion.

For the last time, PAE ARIS would like to call on the EPO and the State to take action TODAY, so that the necessary interventions can be made and Panthessaliko will be ready on May 25 to host fans of both finalists.

As long as there is a real will, the time of 17 days is enough (we say this with certainty because PAE ARIS recently installed the new camera system in Kleanthis Vikelidis and a much shorter time was required).

If the final is held without fans, Greek football and the prestige of the institution will suffer another blow, for which, however, PAE ARIS will bear absolutely no responsibility.
