“Stop” of EL.AS. to AEK fans for a gathering of fans outside the team’s hotel

Specifically, with an announcement issued by the Police, prohibits the outdoor gathering of “Union” friends outside the hotel (5:00 p.m.), but also the motorized march of its fans to the Falir stadium, for security reasons.

Yes, there is talk of non-notification of the Police by the organizers of the gatheringas a result of which the prescribed procedure is not followed.

The Police announcement in detail:



“It is announced that by decision of the Director of the Athens Police, it is prohibited to hold a public outdoor gathering on 15-5-2024 at 17:00 at a hotel in the center of Athens where the sports team of the football team of “AEK” is staying, by fans of of the above sports association and from 08:00′ to 21:00′ on 15-5-2024 of every public open-air gathering related to the above gathering as well as accompanying the sports delegation by motorized march to the Stadium “G. KARAISKAKIS”, in the urban network enclosed by the streets-boulevards:

The above prohibition is imposed, on the one hand, as the organizers did not notify the local Police Authority of their intention to invite the general public to participate, at a specific place and time, in a public outdoor gathering as they should, in accordance with the provisions of article 3 par 1 & 2 of Law 4703/2020 and Article 3 of the Decree 73/2020, and as a result, the prescribed procedure of the current legislation on public outdoor gatherings was not observed and, on the one hand, its conduct poses a serious risk to public safety and threatens serious disruption of socio-economic life in the specific area, vehicular and pedestrian traffic, of the operation of the infrastructures and public facilities of the place of its implementation”.
