An amateur eyewitness video has been published in German media since then clash between fans of Olympiakos and Panathinaikos outside the Prenzlauer Allee station in Berlin.
This video shows the moment the fight begins, with masked fans grappling with bats, globes and whatever else they could use as weapons. In fact, according to testimonies, some were taking stones from the railway and they threw them causing injuries, while passers-by ran in panic for protection.
The violent incidents, which began at 22:47 local time and lasted a few minutes until the police intervened, caused 12 injuries. Most seriously, a Serb who also participated in the episodes, escaped dangerwhile the rest are lighter and have already been discharged.
It is noted that the specific metro stop was closed until Sunday morning, as the authorities carried out investigations and the place was considered a crime scene. The station was restored shortly after 12:00 noon on Sunday.
The German authorities proceeded to 89 arrests, however none of them resulted in arrests and simply the fans were taken to the department for fact-checking.
Incidents between fans also took place outside a hotel, in the Spandau area, with the police intervening and preventing the worst. According to the German authorities, 180 police officers were deployed at the two points of the clashes.
