Bad manta arrived at AEK from DEAB one day after the victorious derby with Olympic at the Ionian Indoor Stadium of Nea Philadeflia, with which he tied the Handball Premier finals series 1-1.
And this is because the “yellow and black” were punished with a penalty of a competition behind closed doors for throwing water bottles, which is to be exposed to 4th final between the two teams, next Thursday (13/6).
For the same day, the handball section of the “double head” has been called and for “severe-extended episodes” which “allegedly took place, inside and outside the playing field, of the “Zacharias Alexandrou” Indoor Gymnasium, during and after the end of the match”.

The Standing Committee on Combating Violence (SCC) announces that:
1. Calls for a hearing on Thursday 13/6/2024 the sports association AEK (men’s handball department) for serious – widespread incidents (throwing stones, marbles, bricks, bottles with bleach at the police forces – serious material damage to the sports facility) related to sports and allegedly took place, inside and outside the playing field, of the “Zacharias Alexandrou” Indoor Gymnasium, during and after the end of the match held there on 6/6/2024, between the teams AEK – OLYMPIAKOS SF /XYNI GROUP, in the context of the Men’s Handball Premier Playoffs, 2023-2024 season.
Application of Article 9 of Law 5085/2024.
2. With Act No. 23/2024, an administrative sanction was imposed, at the expense of the aforementioned sports club AEK (Men’s Handball Section), for the holding of one (1) sports meeting as the home team, without the presence of spectators in any national event it participates in the specific team, due to throwing a number of water bottles, capable of causing bodily harm, towards the athletes of the visiting team during the aforementioned match.
