The American forward announced via podcast his decision to retire from active action after 15 full seasons in the top league of the planet.
The 37-year-old ace was selected in No.46 of the 2009 draft from the Cleveland Cavaliers, managing not only to remain in the NBA, but also to star.
In his career, Green played with the Cavaliers, San Antonio Spurs, Toronto Raptors, Philadelphia Sixers, Los Angeles Lakers and Memphis Grizzlies, totaling 832 regular season games. 8.7 points and 3.4 rebounds average with an outstanding 40% on three-pointers!
In fact, Green celebrated three championships and even with different teams, in 2014 with the Spurs, in 2019 with the Raptors and in 2020 with the Lakers, being one of only 4 players who have achieved something similar in NBA history.
