The Hawks “landed” the Cavaliers, their first loss this year in Cleveland

Amen Thompson had a double-double with 19 points and 13 rebounds, with Terry Eason adding 14 points for Houston. Gerson Yabusele had 22 for the Sixers.

Leading the Mavericks’ 129-114 win over the Knicks was Kyrie Irving, who had 23 points for Dallas, which played for the fourth straight game without Luka Doncic. Jaylen Brasson again scored a season-high 37 points for New York in Game 2 against his former team.

Karl-Anthony Towns had a double-double with 25 points and 14 rebounds, while OJ Anunoby had 8 points on 3/15 shooting after his 40 points two nights ago. Dallas’ Naji Marshall had 24 points, Spencer Dinwiddie added 21 points and PJ Washington had a double-double with 19 points and 10 rebounds.

James Harden scored a season-high 43 points in the Clippers’ 96-121 win at the Wizards’ home. The LA star had seven 3-pointers, 23 points in the first period and battled to break his career high of 29 points. Ivica Zubac had a double-double with 18 points and 16 rebounds for the Clippers, who have won six of their last seven games. Malcolm Brogdon and Jonas Valanciunas each scored 17 points for Washington, which lost Kyle Kuzma to an injury eight minutes into the game.

Anthony Davis had 19 points and 14 rebounds, LeBron James finished the game with a “triple” performance with 16 points, 11 assists and 10 rebounds, in the victory (119-101) of the Lakers against the Spurs. Rookie Dalton Knecht had 20 points on 4/10 3-point shooting as LA won its third straight.

Conversely, Victor Uebanyama had 20 points and 10 rebounds for the Spurs, who snapped a four-game winning streak. Harrison Barnes added 19 points and Julian Chabanier scored 18. Meanwhile, Devin Fazel had 14 points in his return from a five-game absence with a left knee injury.
