Asteras AKTOR was defeated last weekend by 1-0 against Panathinaikos, with Savvas Pantelidis speaking at the end of the match about altering the result.
The Greek technician in his statements on arcadiasports.gr he mentioned that he may have seemed a bit naive talking about refereeing, however as he said he thinks his team didn’t deserve to lose.
What he said in detail:
Coaches, now that the dust has settled, where do you think the match against Panathinaikos was decided?
“In detail. Unfortunately, we didn’t take advantage of our good times. In general, we were able to execute our plan, limited the opponent enough and led them to long bad periods in the match. However, a refereeing error at the end also helped to prevent us from getting even one point. At the end of the match, I spoke of alteration. “Maybe I looked a bit stupid, but in general I think my team didn’t deserve this defeat.”
Now you have Volos in front of you. Is your mind already there?
“Clearly. Time cannot be turned back and if we do, it will only be against us. We have to see as a team what we didn’t do well so that in the next game we don’t repeat it. Volos are a dangerous team, they have picked up a lot of points away from home just like us and we will surely see an interesting match with the motivation to win from both teams being high. However, I always believe that as a team if we do what we do well, we have nothing to fear.”
