AEK: “We are defending equity and Greek handball – to re -set the second final with Alkalide”

by

OR AEKwith its formal placement, calls for the reassignment of the second final of the EHF European Cuparguing that Alkalide has circumvented regulations of the European Handball Federation.

‘Union’ expresses reservations on the conditions of the match in Skopje, focusing on issues related to the entry of fans on the pitch, the ticket ratio and the overall application of the procedures.

At the same time welcomes the intervention of OHE and calls her Ehf To examine the events on the basis of the regulations, ensuring equal terms of participation for all groups.

The announcement:

From the first moment, AEK’s administration is fighting a huge battle to defend not only the honor and dignity of our club and our fans, but also of our Greek handball and our country. From the first moment we fought and fighting as AEK, even on very serious issues, such as reacting to the highest challenge of not allowing Greek citizens to cross the border legitimately for another European country.

We have fought and still fights all the fronts, with our “weapon” our right to the conditions of equity that must be governed by every sporting event, and moreover in a European final. We welcome OHE’s letter to the European Federation and the announcement, which on the one hand is clear everything and the questions that must, and from which the clear deception is evident from the general stance of the home side, in order to bring us to the end.

The people of the Hellenic Federation were present and lived everything and understood it all. Attend to everything were the executives of the European Federation, who know very well what happened at the security meeting he convened, what was agreed and who kept and who did not comply with the agreed.

We hope that they will be lifted at the height of the circumstances and prove by their decision that all the struggles wish to be judged on the stadiums in accordance with the regulations they have established.

Requirement, not only ours, but all those who really want to judge the struggles in the fields with justice and equity conditions, is to re -set the second final and to comply with the regulations of the European Federation, which Alkalid has circumvented and not the AEK. On the contrary, AEK organized an excellent first final and no one had any problems, neither with security nor with our hospitality. In the same stadium, where four days earlier, BCL’s Final 4 was held, with the peaceful coexistence of AEK, Malaga, Tenerifi and Galatasaray fans.

In conclusion, who can really justify and reward the “block” on the border and the ban on legal entry with “so I want” any number of Greek citizens without restriction, since there was no directive on banning, single or organized? Why was the European Federation provided for by the European Federation ’90-10′? And since for so -called “security reasons”, 200 tickets were given for AEK fans, why were Alkalide’s tickets not 1,800 and we saw a full stadium with more than 6,000 Skopians?
