I think I could easily play – I’m just as good as many of those playing there. I know for sure. Every summer when I go home, I play with players like Anthony Edwards and I do exactly the same things I do here. It’s not that I can’t, just that’s how things came.

And I am grateful for the route I had, because I was given the opportunity to see the world, to meet different cultures. And my family too. We made a good life. So, no, I haven’t regretted it. Obviously, I would like to have taken one of those NBA’s thick salaries – it would be great. But so we have made good money, we have lived in fine places, and I have no complaints. ”

On whether to remain in Rhodes: “Certainly. I would love it. If it were up to me, it would be. I would take a house in Rhodes. I want to get a property there, for sure. I don’t know exactly where I will live, but I want to have a place there. I want to come back. My family, my wife, adore this place. If it were up to me, I would end my career there and then … we’ll see what life will bring. ”

For when to play: “I’ll play until I can’t. I don’t know how many years this will be. I’m approaching 37 this year, so I don’t know how many kilometers still have these legs. But for now I feel good. This may be one of the best seasons of my career, so I don’t see the reason to stop. ”

On how it is a typical day in Rhodes: “I wake up at 7:30. I prepare kids for school, make them breakfast. Me and my wife – we have four children – we share responsibilities: she gets the two, I am the other two. I leave them at school around 8:30. I go home for an hour, if I catch up, I have a sleep.

Then I have a workout. I finish at 2: 00–2: 30 and then go to get the kids. They have various activities-one has swimming, another has basketball-so I’m constantly going. Then he has a study, because the school is not English -speaking and we need to translate, help. We actually become teachers by 6: 30–7: 00. Then we prepare the kids to sleep, sleep around 8: 30–9: 00 and then we have two hours with my wife to relax a little. “
