There seems to be a sudden shutdown on Instagram. This means that users will not be able to view stories or reels in the app.

There are reports that DownDetectors started to flood around 1:40am on Thursday June 23 due to problems with British consumers.

According to the site, 75% of reports indicate issues with the app, 14% of issues are with the channel, and 11% with the website.

London seems to be suffering the most, but Edinburgh consumers are also in trouble.

Sounds like Instagram, short TikTok style videos don’t seem to load for some people.

Others have confirmed that the story feature cannot be displayed on Twitter.

“Instagram is down now, a lot of people can’t see their story!” one user wrote in response to a question.

Instagram problems occur in a week full of tech-savvy balls. On Tuesday, people who worked at home encountered problems with Cloudflare and Outlook during a rail strike.

And if that wasn’t enough, Zoom also suffered a frustrating shutdown.

Instagram’s parent company, Meta, has yet to comment on the matter.
