European Commission announces ‘Fintech Challenge for Ukraine’

On Monday, the European Commission organizes a video conference with which he will inaugurate the competition Fintech Challenge for Ukraine.

The international programming competition will take place online in June 2022. Companies and individuals from around the world are invited to develop technological solutions that will help Ukrainians in their daily lives, enable the provision of basic services to businesses and support the recovery of Ukraine. . The “Fintech Challenge for Ukraine” competition will include brainstorming sessions and a programming marathon to develop technological solutions to a specific problem.

The winners will be announced in Brussels at the end of June. The competition “Fintech Challenge for Ukraine” is organized by European Financial Technology Association (EDFA) in cooperation with the Ukrainian Association of Financial Technology and Innovative Companies (UAFIC) with funding from the European Commission (DG FISMA).

THE Commissioner Mr Magines will deliver the keynote address at the inaugural event on Monday 16 May. Speeches will also be given Vice-President of the European Parliament Eva Kaili, Minister of Social Policy of Ukraine Marina Lazebna, and President of the National Bank of Ukraine Kirill Shevchenko. This will be followed by a presentation of the “Fintech Challenge for Ukraine” by UAFIC and EDFA.
