Princes Harry and William remember Prince Philip in a Discovery + tribute

by

The streaming service Discovery + announced the launch of a special tribute entitled “Prince Philip: The Royal Family Remembers”.

More than a dozen members of the UK royal family, including Princes Harry and William, attend and speak about Philip, Duke of Edinburgh, the late wife of Queen Elizabeth II.

“What you saw is what you saw for my grandfather,” Prince Harry said in the trailer. “His authenticity was without an apology himself.”

Prince William added: “He has always been the heart of the family and has always been strongly behind everything we really did.”

The tribute was originally intended to celebrate the 100th birthday of Prince Philip. The shooting took place all year round and continued after his death on April 9 at the age of 99.

The “Prince Philip: The Royal Family Remembers” tribute includes footage from Queen Elizabeth II’s private film collection. In addition, the staff of Prince Philip is presented at Buckingham Palace.

The public will also have the opportunity to see the study room, the office and the library of Prince Philip.

Oxford Films produced the tribute, directed by Faye Hamilton and Matthew Hill. Robert Hardman wrote the screenplay and is the co-producer.
