An application for the supply of gas through another important entry point, the one in Sokhranifka, was rejected by Ukraine, according to Gazprom.
The Russian gas giant Gazprom announced that its gas supply to Europe via the point of entry of Sunja in Ukraine decreased to 41.4 million cubic meters (mcm) today from 41.9 mcm yesterday, Friday.

Meanwhile, the government of Rome is ready to implement it emergency plan in terms of gas supplies to Italy, according to many of the country’s media.
Among other things, the measures provided for in the plan are the use of alternative energy sources, the voluntary reduction of energy supply to industries and the increase of imports from third countries.
This new phase is due to the continuous reduction of supplies from Russia in the last three days.
The Italian press, however, emphasizes that in recent weeks Italy has already begun to import more gas from Algeria than from the Russian Federation.
«We are constantly monitoring the situation and our countermeasures are ready to be implemented“, Said the Italian Minister of Ecological Transition, Roberto Tsingolani.
