At least 15 people have died after a truck plunged off a cliff in Peru.
On Saturday afternoon, as the truck was moving from Mazamar to the town of Cubarro, it happened in the small town of Materiato in the Junin region of Peru.
Thirteen bodies were removed from the scene, two of whom died in hospital from their injuries, and another wounded man who remains under observation.
According to local reports, volunteer firefighters arrived at the scene and managed to save three people.
Police officers joined volunteer firefighters to rescue people’s bodies.
The wounded and wounded were treated at the local hospital in Pangoa.
It is not the first time that a fatal accident has occurred in the country.
In 2018, 48 people were killed when a bus fell 330 feet from a cliff called ‘Devil’s Curve’.
The bus was traveling from Huacho to Lima, the capital, with 53 passengers on board.
The bus plunged 100 meters into the sea and landed upside down on a rock on the beach.
