A father and son are dramatically rescued from a sinking ship after being strangled by a floating ice chest.

His ship, Glory Days, passed a line of lobsters nine miles off the coast of Boston Harbor and killed its engines.

It then moved to the rocks around the uninhabited island of Graves Lighthouse and sliced through the hull.

When rescue teams arrived, the boat was almost completely submerged except for part of the bow.

As rescuers Steven Merrick and Gareth Boyle got closer, they saw a blue object floating in the water.

Merrick said: They were cold. They seemed very tired and weak. ”

A police body camera shows my son saying, “We are so weak. Please help him. First of all, help him up.”

Then he added, “I won’t last anymore.”
