Two pilots have been fired after a fight broke out on an Air France flight.

The fight broke out on a flight between Geneva and Paris in June, but Air France said the journey continued and the plane landed safely.

The Tribune reported that the pilot and co-pilot had a disagreement shortly before takeoff from Geneva and locked each other’s necks after an apparent collision.

Flight attendants were forced to intervene and were forced to remain in the cabin during a flight.

News of the fight comes after BEA, the French aviation research agency, published a report that Air France pilots “lacked rigor” in following security incident procedures in a rice field. .

Events the report focuses on include a fuel leak on an Air France flight from Brazzaville, Republic of the Congo to Paris in December 2020.

The pilot diverted the plane, but did not cut power to the engines and landed as soon as possible.

BEA warned that the engine caught fire, but the plane eventually landed safely in Chad.

It also refers to three similar incidents in 2017 and 2022 in which pilots acted based on their own analysis of the situation rather than following safety protocols.

In response, Air France has committed to conducting safety audits, including allowing pilots to review flights and improving training manuals to follow procedures.

The airline said it operates thousands of flights each day, but the report listed just four of those safety issues.

There have been fights between pilots from other airlines in the past.

In 2018, a brawl broke out between a pilot and a co-pilot while 150 passengers were on board.

The pilot collided with the co-pilot over a tray of food, but the co-pilot claimed he was able to land the plane safely in Baghdad, Iraq.

Two men were detained by Iraqi Airlines.
