Rapper Coolio, who recorded Gangsta’s Paradise, has died at the age of 59

The American rapper Coolio, known for the iconic song Gangsta’s Paradise, died suddenly at the age of 59. According to the first information, the 59-year-old suffered an interruption.

Jarez Posey’s manager announced to the American media that the artist was found unconscious on the bathroom floor of a friend’s house in Los Angeles. The rapper went to the bathroom but was slow to come out with his friend finding him lying unconscious on the floor after a while.

Coolio began making music in the 1980s, but cemented his place in hip-hop history when he recorded Gangsta’s Paradise in 1995.

Coolio, whose real name was Artis Leon Ivey Jr. , emerged on the Los Angeles rap scene in the late 80s, but his fame was cemented in 1995 when Gangsta’s Paradise was released as the soundtrack to the film Dangerous Minds starring Michelle Pfeiffer.
