The denial was made by Devin O’Malley, adviser to the Republican former vice president, canceling the relevant information broadcast by the British Sky News television network.
Former Republican Vice President Mike Pence has not filed any documents formalizing his candidacy for the November 2024 presidential election, his advisor Devin O’Malley said on Twitter on Monday, denying information previously reported by the television network. Britain’s Sky News, that such was submitted to the Federal Election Commission (FEC).
Sky News itself redacted its report, pointing out that the document filed with the FEC does not correctly list the former vice president’s official name (Michael Richard Pence), but “Mike.”
It is unclear who submitted the document. The 63-year-old former vice president and former governor of Indiana has said for months that he will decide in early 2023 whether to run in the internal party race. Former President Donald Trump has already announced that he will run again.
