Russia’s morale is low on the battlefield and Kiev believes that the planned counterattack to recapture occupied territories will be successful, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said during a joint press conference in The Hague with Dutch Prime Ministers Mark Rutte and Belgian Alexander De Croix.

President Zelensky told reporters in The Hague that his visits this week to European countries are aimed at resupplying Ukrainian forces and that the whole of Ukrainian society is preparing for a counterattack.

“Victory in war is won by force of arms – that’s how the job gets done.” And I am grateful to you and the Netherlands for every piece of weaponry provided to Ukraine – for everything that helps us maintain our defense and gradually prepare our active actions,” he told Rutte.

“Ukraine is realistic, we will not join NATO during the war”, he said. “We want to get a clear message that we will join NATO after the war” he further clarified.

For his part, Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte said that there are no taboos regarding the military support of Ukraine.
