A 15-year-old man has been arrested in Spain on suspicion of shooting and killing his parents and 10-year-old brother after a dispute over his poor grades at school became known to police today.
The tragedy, which unfolded on Tuesday night in a rural area near Elche, 20 km southeast of Alicante, was revealed last night by a woman who went to the family home as she had no news of them.
“The mother’s sister went home because she had no family news and then her nephew told her he had killed his father, mother and brother,” a police spokesman told AFP.
Police located three bodies inside the house. He arrested a “15-year-old minor” who was left alone in the house with the bodies for three days.
The 15-year-old said he “fought with his mother over his grades at school”, then took his father’s shotgun to kill her, then shot his 10-year-old brother and last but not least his father.
