Russian air defense units intercepted some twenty Ukrainian remote-controlled unmanned aerial systems yesterday Monday in the southern Kursk region, regional governor Alexei Smironov announced via Telegram.
The official said that the Ukrainian armed forces attacked four villages in the region with drones and helicopters, but assured that no injuries were reported.

Frequent Ukrainian attacks on Russian border areas prompted the Russian president to order an operation by Russian troops in Ukraine’s Kharkiv region to establish a “neutral zone” starting last month. The Russian army says it captured 12 villages in this operation, the Ukrainian side assures that it is repelling attacks and that it maintains control of 70% of Vovchank, a key town located some 5 kilometers from the border.
