Fighting continues on Lebanon’s border with Israel – Yesterday and today, three Israeli soldiers were seriously injured
Fighting continues on the Israel-Lebanon border with Hezbollah targeting Israelis today, Monday, with artillery fire and rockets soldiers in the village of Lambuneh located on Lebanon’s border with Israel, it said in a statement.
This announcement was made one day after Israel announced that neutralized two successors to the slain Hezbollah leader.
Sirens were also heard in northern Israel, the Israeli military announced, adding that yesterday and today, three Israeli soldiers were seriously injured during the fighting in southern Lebanon.
Late at night the IDF reported that intercepted a drone which was “launched from the east”, i.e. from Iraq. No air raid sirens were activated before the interception, which an IDF statement said was “in accordance with protocol”.
The army’s statement comes shortly after the Islamic Resistance in Iraq, an Iranian-backed militia network, claimed responsibility for an attack in southern Israel.
His prime minister Israel Benjamin Netanyahu who, as it became known, will have a telephone conversation in the next few hours with the US president, Joe Biden, said yesterday that Israel’s air strikes neutralized the two successors of Hassan Nasrallah.
